New Beads!

The beads are photographed and listed. Yeah! My kiddos will be home from school shortly and they'll be bouncing off the walls since it's a long weekend. I doubt you will hear from me again until after Labor Day, so have a safe and enjoyable weekend!

Up late

Normally, I'm not much of a night owl. My hubby often jokes that I turn into a pumpkin at 10:00 p.m. on the nose, but tonight I felt like coring some new Pandora style beads...so I did with droopy eyes and all. There are seven new ones and I'm hoping to get them photographed sometime tomorrow morning. I also made a couple of focal beads that aren't my most favorite. I might list them at half my regular price just because they didn't turn out the way that I had envisioned them. Perhaps there is someone out there who will love them and give them a proper home even though they are misfits. Well, I think I have hit official pumpkin status since I can barely concentrate on what I'm writing. I'll update again tomorrow. Night!

Back from Chicago...

My hubby and I just spent a wonderful weekend in Chicago. It is the first time he has ever been there and only my second time. The only other time I had been there was when my mom and I drove up to get my wedding dress and there wasn't time for sightseeing then. We went for the Kenny Wayne Sheperd concert at the House of Blues and were close enough to actually touch him if we would have chose to do so. What a blast! We parked our car when we first got there on Thursday and we walked everywhere we went. The Navy Pier was loads of fun...we even went up in the gigantic ferris wheel. Have I ever mentioned that heights aren't exactly my thing? Luckily, I've found that if I look out into the distance instead of down, I don't mind it so much. I would show you all pictures but  I forgot the darned camera. DUH!

Turning over a new leaf?

I would like to say that I'll type a little something here every day, but let's face it...I'm just not THAT interesting. My life consists of raising my 2 incredible children, being a wife to my high school sweetheart, daughter to a wonderful mother, chief chef and bottlewasher, lawn service provider and gardener, maid, all around general maintenance person, grocery getter, and last but hopefully not least beadmaker. Yesterday, I was almost the girl who lost her lunch after riding The Voyage at Holiday World. LOL! I've never had a problem riding roller coasters, but there is just something about that one that gives me a queazy feeling. Of course, the kids were ready to ride it again until I convinced them there were cooler rides just around the corner.
